  •      The K7MEE repeater is in Sandpoint, Idaho on Schweitzer Mountain; frequency of 444.075 (+) with a 100 Hz tone, linked to N7JCT repeater.
The two repeaters are soft linked, meaning they can be unlinked at any time.  Keep watching, we will have codes listed for repeater operations to connect the UHF and/or VHF Link Radios.

The repeaters are sponsored by Bonner County Department of Emergency Management and will be used for RACES/ARES operations if the need arises but, the repeaters are open for use to all amateurs

The repeaters, located on Schweitzer Mountain, are at an elevation of approx 6400 feet.  The antenna are mounted around 80 feet high, top of the tower.

Thanks to the State of Idaho for the use of their facility.

Want to thank the many that have helped in one way or another with work on the repeaters, either on site or by being on the other end of the radio to give us signal reports this year and the past couple years.  I hope I don't forget anyone.

On Tuesday, October 7, 2008, N7JCT, K7MEE, KE7CJV and KE7SKJ made the journey to Schweitzer Mountain to connect the antenna's for the V/UHF repeaters.  Tim, KE7CJV, did most of the tower work.  Had his head in the clouds all day.  N7JCT and KE7SKJ did a lot of work inside getting coax prepped and run to the repeaters.  Due to cold and moist weather conditions all day, K7MEE took over on tower duty for KE7CJV connecting the coax to the tower.  A fun, cold and cloudy day was had by all.

On Saturday, October 11, 2008, N7JCT and K7MEE returned to Schweitzer Mountain to perform some finishing touches.  We were able to get the link radio's powered up and hooked up to their antenna and the link controller.  Antenna coax was secured to the ice bridge going to the building and routed through the entry ports into the building.
